Nature of the content

MAS Trader is an entertainment and educational project that tells, as a video game, the activity of an experimental algorithmic trading system. Nothing published here is investment advice, a personalised recommendation, a solicitation to invest, or an offer or promotion of financial instruments or services.

Paper trading

The trades shown are executed on a paper trading account with simulated money. Simulated executions may differ from those obtained with real money (liquidity, costs, timing).

Past and simulated results

Past performance, real or simulated (backtests), is not indicative of future results. Backtests have limits described on the Track record page, including the hindsight selection of the stocks analysed. Investing involves the risk of losing all or part of your capital.

Delayed publication

On the public version, trades are shown after the market close, without quantities, prices or amounts, and portfolio values are closing values. Data may contain errors or delays and is provided without any warranty of completeness or accuracy.

News summaries

News items are one-line summaries generated automatically by a language model from headlines, filings and press releases, written in its own words. They may be inaccurate or incomplete. The name of the outlet identifies the source that was read; no article text is reproduced and no affiliation with those outlets is implied.

Names of companies, indices and financial instruments are mentioned for descriptive purposes only and belong to their respective owners. No affiliation is implied.

Privacy

The site requires no registration and uses no profiling cookies or third-party tracking tools. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives the visitor's IP address to serve the files. Server technical logs (IP address, date and page requested) are kept only for security and operation.
